Grandsons, Max & Rylin, coloured eggs while visiting Grannie & Bubba just before Easter, they were collected straight from Tijmen & Kim's hen house....
Ever seen a Siamese fighting fish in a coffee pot??? Here's a blue beauty! Where do people get these ideas.....???

Easter was quiet at Toy Creek Road...but a walk on Easter Monday, once the snow had again disappeared, was ever hopeful of Spring's return - this beautiful lichen on a very large glacial rock caught my eye! The forest of poplar....winter skeletons awaiting the warmth & rejuvenation of the sun...
Mike constructed a feeding station, a few days before Easter, to attract the birds....and we are seeing plent
y of juncos and house finches, and occasionally a Downy woodpecker....it's been just over a week since these little beauties discovered the seed buffet, but it has had an unexpected downside! In the past 2 days we have had 5 flying fatalities as the little pilots whizzing back & forth seem to have literally "run into problems"....they are whacking into our glass-panelled deck!! Upon conferencing with neighbours, we hope to have a solution by tying ribbons on the railing as a warning!
